Vulnerabilities & Patch Management
Action Fraud was the United Kingdom’s national reporting center for fraud and cybercrime. It provided a platform for individuals and businesses to report incidents of fraud, scams, and cybercrime to law enforcement. Managed by the City of London Police, Action Fraud collected reports and passed them to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau for investigation. Despite its central role, Action Fraud faced criticism for inefficiency, lack of follow-up, and inadequate support for victims. In 2024, the service was replaced by a new system aimed at improving response and victim care.
