Anglo concertina

A type of concertina associated with folk performance and bellows-driven play.

An Anglo concertina is a bellows-driven free-reed instrument used in folk performance. Sound is produced by pushing air through reeds while pressing buttons, so the player’s touch, airflow, and mechanical response are central to how it behaves. In security writing, the term matters when the instrument is modified with electronics: a traditional mechanical object can become a mixed hardware system with power, wiring, sensors, or embedded control.

That shift changes the threat model. Once electronics are added, attackers may target weak firmware, exposed debug ports, unprotected configuration, or fragile power and input circuits; defenders think in terms of secure design, tamper resistance, update control, and reliable failure modes. Even a hobby build can illustrate a common cyber-security lesson: the more a physical device depends on electronics, the more its trustworthiness depends on how those electronics are implemented and protected.
