AI integration

Embedding AI into existing workflows, systems, and decision paths.

AI integration is the process of embedding artificial intelligence into existing workflows, systems, and decision paths. Instead of using AI as a separate tool, organizations connect it to business software, support processes, security controls, and operational approvals so it can help make or automate decisions.

In cyber security, AI integration matters because it changes both capability and risk. Defenders may use it for alert triage, phishing detection, log analysis, and incident response automation. But once AI is wired into real workflows, bad outputs can affect real actions. Attackers can abuse integrated chatbots, prompt injection, data poisoning, or weak access controls to leak data, trigger unsafe actions, or mislead analysts. Secure AI integration needs clear approval boundaries, least privilege, human review for high-impact decisions, and monitoring for model abuse. Done well, it improves speed without removing control.
