A TypeScript SDK is a software development kit written for TypeScript, the typed superset of JavaScript. It provides reusable functions, classes, and API clients so developers can embed a service into their own applications instead of calling it only through a web UI or manual command-line steps.
In cyber security, SDKs matter because they let security checks become part of the software delivery process. Teams can build internal review tools, automate repository scans, trigger alerts in CI pipelines, or add remediation workflows to developer platforms. Attackers may also abuse SDKs indirectly when they target integrations that expose sensitive data or privileged actions. Defenders use them to standardize access, enforce authentication, and create repeatable security controls that run wherever code is built, tested, or reviewed.
