Shared project context

Team data such as issues, docs, and linked records that AI tools may use to perform work.

Shared project context is the team data an AI tool can read while doing work, such as issues, documents, tickets, comments, and linked records. In a collaboration platform, this context helps an agent summarize work, draft updates, route tasks, or connect related information without extra prompting.

In cyber security, shared project context matters because it becomes a data-access boundary. If an AI agent can see too much, it may expose confidential material, infer sensitive relationships, or act on records it should not touch. If it can edit or move items, poor scoping can create integrity problems, such as incorrect approvals or workflow changes at scale. Defenders should treat shared context like any other sensitive pathway: apply least privilege, restrict connectors to needed projects, log access, and review what the agent can read versus what it can change.
