Revenue growth is the increase in income a company earns over a set period. In cybersecurity, it is not a threat itself, but it is an important business signal: fast growth in a security product or service line often means customers are buying more protection, monitoring, and response capacity.
This matters because security spending usually rises when organizations face more complexity, stricter compliance, or a higher risk of downtime and data loss. Defenders use revenue growth to judge market demand and fund new controls, while attackers may study growing security vendors as a sign that buyers are prioritizing detection, incident response, and resilience. By itself, the metric does not prove a breach or an attack, but it helps explain where security pressure is increasing.
