Privilege concentration is a security condition where one account, role, or token has control over many other users, systems, or business functions. In practice, it means a single login can approve changes, manage accounts, reset credentials, or access sensitive data across a large environment.
This matters because it turns one stolen credential into a high-impact compromise. Attackers often target privileged operators such as admins, ad managers, or support staff because phishing a single account can expose many downstream assets. In the context of fake login pages and browser-in-browser deception, a successful capture of one high-value account may let an attacker take over multiple related resources before detection. Defenders reduce this risk by splitting duties, limiting admin scope, using separate accounts for sensitive tasks, and requiring phishing-resistant authentication for privileged access.
