A polymer mesh is a flexible lattice of polymer strands designed to carry load while still deforming and recovering shape. In airless tires, the mesh replaces the role of compressed air: it supports weight, absorbs shock, and helps the tire remain usable without an inner chamber. The exact geometry, material mix, and print settings determine how strong and resilient the structure will be.
In cyber security, polymer mesh matters because it is often created from digital design files and machine instructions. If an attacker alters the CAD model, slicer profile, or printer parameters, the resulting part can be weaker, unstable, or unsafe even when it looks correct. Defenders in additive manufacturing therefore focus on file integrity, access control, version tracking, authenticated build workflows, and inspection testing to make sure the physical part matches the intended design.
