Multi-site management is the centralized administration of network policies, settings, and updates across multiple locations. In wireless environments, it lets administrators push the same authentication rules, SSID settings, access controls, firmware, and logging policies to branches, campuses, or retail sites from one console.
This matters because inconsistent configurations create security gaps, known as configuration drift. A site that misses an update or uses a weaker template can become the easiest point of entry for attackers. Central management helps defenders enforce segmentation, standardize access, and respond faster during an incident. But it also concentrates risk: if the management plane is weakly protected, an attacker who reaches it may be able to change settings everywhere at once.
