Micro-SLA

A high-precision form of stereolithography designed for extremely small features.

Micro-SLA is a high-precision version of stereolithography, a resin 3D-printing process that uses light to cure liquid photopolymer into solid parts. Unlike standard desktop SLA, micro-SLA is tuned for extremely small features, tight tolerances, and smooth surfaces at the micron scale. That makes it useful for making tiny mechanical parts, micro-optics, masks, and research prototypes that ordinary printers cannot resolve.

In cyber security, micro-SLA matters because precision manufacturing can support both defense and abuse. Defenders may use it to prototype tamper-evident components, sensor housings, or inspection fixtures for hardware security testing. Attackers or counterfeiters could use the same class of process to build very small hidden parts or to copy detailed physical features that are hard to inspect by eye. At this scale, calibration, resin chemistry, and exposure control become part of the trust boundary: small errors can reveal or conceal a compromise.
