Medication management is the process of organizing, timing, and tracking medicine use. In cyber security, this matters because reminder apps, smart clocks, and connected dispensers often handle sensitive health routines. Even a simple schedule can reveal when someone wakes up, travels, or is at home, so the data has privacy value beyond the medicine itself.
Attackers may try to change reminders, block alerts, steal schedules, or exploit cloud sync and weak accounts to learn personal habits. Defenders reduce risk by keeping core functions working offline when possible, using strong authentication, limiting stored data, encrypting records, and making failures obvious. For health-adjacent devices, reliability is also a security issue: an inaccurate clock, dead battery, or broken sync can cause missed doses and unsafe behavior.
