An interactive UI is a user interface that lets people click, type, select options, or trigger state changes, instead of only reading static text. In cyber security, that matters because interaction creates action. A button, form, or embedded control can submit data, change settings, approve a login, or start a transaction. The more a surface behaves like software, the more it needs clear boundaries, consent, and verification.
Attackers often abuse interactive UIs by disguising malicious controls, steering users into unsafe clicks, or placing deceptive elements next to trusted content. In AI products, interactive responses can blur the line between an answer and an application, which raises the risk of phishing, prompt injection, or accidental approvals if the UI is unclear. Defenders reduce this risk by labeling controls, isolating untrusted content, requiring explicit user confirmation for state changes, and making important actions easy to inspect before they run.
