Indicizzazione is a pricing method in which a fee, tariff, or contract value automatically follows a market benchmark or index instead of staying fixed. In practice, the final amount can move when the reference index moves, so the customer is exposed to future increases or decreases. The key idea is not the specific product, but the rule that links the price to an external reference.
In cyber security, indicizzazione matters because many online services, payment pages, and subscription offers are read quickly and signed digitally. Attackers can abuse that speed with deceptive contracts, fake invoices, or misleading checkout screens that hide benchmark logic, fees, or automatic adjustments. Defenders reduce risk by making pricing terms explicit, logging changes to billing rules, and verifying that any automated price update comes from a trusted source. Clear disclosure is a control against fraud and confusion.
