Identity control is the set of authentication and account-management measures that links activity to approved users and workspaces. It can include sign-in requirements, account provisioning and removal, access permissions, and policies that distinguish a personal account from an organization-managed one.
In cyber security, identity controls help organizations enforce who can access services and apply the right policies to that access. For workplace AI, a company may provide a managed workspace, but employees using personal accounts can bypass its membership, administration, and visibility controls. Organizations can reduce this gap by making managed access straightforward, clarifying account-use rules, and combining identity signals with endpoint or network monitoring. Such monitoring may reveal service access without showing the content of prompts.
