Full cloud is a migration model in which an organization moves major IT functions—such as servers, applications, collaboration tools, and backups—from local systems to managed cloud services. It describes a broad direction, not one fixed architecture: responsibilities differ across software, platform, and infrastructure services.
Moving systems off-site changes where security controls and operational dependencies sit; it does not remove the organization’s responsibility for them. In real deployments, defenders should define access and data-retention rules, clarify the shared duties of customer and provider, assess vendors, and test backup restoration and recovery. Planning for logging, data export, and workload portability can help preserve visibility and provide options if services are disrupted or the organization needs to move.
