Enterprise access

Usable entry into a business environment that criminals can resell or reuse.

Enterprise access is usable entry into a business environment, such as a corporate email account, VPN, remote desktop session, cloud console, or internal application. In cybercrime, this access is valuable because it can be resold, reused, or handed to another operator without needing to break in again. A single foothold may support credential theft, lateral movement, privilege escalation, data exfiltration, or ransomware deployment.

In underground markets, enterprise access often appears as stolen credentials, active session cookies, remote access to a host, or compromised admin panels. Defenders should treat it as more than a login problem: it is a signal that an attacker has already crossed the perimeter. Monitoring unusual sign-ins, enforcing MFA and conditional access, reviewing new device and privilege changes, and quickly revoking exposed credentials are key defenses. Tracking market demand and pricing can also help threat intelligence teams see which access paths attackers value most.
