Diffusers is a Hugging Face library for building and running diffusion-based AI pipelines, such as image generation and editing workflows. It helps developers compose model components, load repositories, and execute inference in Python applications.
In cyber security, Diffusers matters because model loading can cross a trust boundary: a repository may contain not only weights, but also configuration or custom code that influences what runs on the host. If that loading path is abused, an attacker can turn a model supply chain into a code execution vector. Defenders should treat remote model sources as untrusted, review repository contents, pin known-good versions, disable remote code unless needed, and run AI workloads with least privilege or in a sandbox.
