Design clarity

How easily players can understand what a game expects them to do.

Design clarity is how easily a person can understand what a system expects them to do. In cyber security, it matters because users make security decisions through interfaces, prompts, and workflows. Clear design reduces mistakes, helps people notice warnings, and makes secure actions feel normal instead of confusing or optional.

In real defenses, design clarity appears in plain-language alerts, obvious permission prompts, and dashboards that show status at a glance. In attacks, criminals often exploit the opposite: phishing pages, fake login portals, and misleading consent screens are built to look familiar while hiding what they really do. Good security design therefore aims for simple labels, consistent actions, and visible consequences, so users can tell the difference between safe behavior and deception.
