Chamber pressure

The pressure inside a combustion chamber that affects performance and safety.

Chamber pressure is the pressure inside a combustion chamber while fuel and oxidizer burn. It is a core engineering limit: too low, and the system may produce weak or unstable thrust; too high, and the chamber, valves, or nozzle can fail. In rocket and engine design, chamber pressure is one of the main variables used to predict performance, efficiency, and safety.

In cyber security, chamber pressure matters in cyber-physical systems such as launch hardware, industrial burners, and other automated propulsion devices. Attackers who tamper with sensors, control firmware, or telemetry can cause a controller to misread pressure and keep operating beyond safe limits. Defenders protect against this with redundant sensors, calibration checks, hard safety interlocks, anomaly detection, and fail-safe shutdown logic. In practice, pressure data is both a performance metric and a security signal.
