Behavioral intelligence is the analysis of how a user interacts with a session, device, or application to spot patterns that look unusual. Security tools may observe typing rhythm, mouse movement, navigation flow, transaction timing, copy-and-paste behavior, or device consistency. The goal is not to identify a person by name, but to decide whether the current interaction matches normal human behavior for that account.
It matters in cyber security because many attacks succeed after an attacker already has valid credentials or is guiding a victim through a scam. Passwords, one-time codes, and basic login checks may all look legitimate, but the session can still behave differently from the real user. Behavioral intelligence helps defenders add a real-time risk signal for account takeover, payment fraud, and social engineering. Used well, it works alongside device fingerprints, authentication, and transaction monitoring; used alone, it can be noisy or too easy to overtrust.
