An all-cash acquisition is a purchase in which the buyer pays the seller entirely in cash, rather than using its own stock or a combination of cash and stock. The term describes the form of payment, not whether the deal has closed or received required approvals.
For companies in cyber security, acquisitions can bring together products, expertise, or customer bases. An all-cash structure means the seller’s shareholders receive cash instead of an ownership stake in the buyer, while the buyer funds the purchase with available cash, financing, or both. The structure alone does not guarantee that products will be integrated or improve security; those outcomes depend on execution and deployment.
