Workload IAM

Identity and access management for non-human actors such as services, automations, and AI agents.

Workload IAM is identity and access management for non-human actors such as services, containers, scripts, automations, and AI agents. Instead of treating these systems as anonymous processes, workload IAM gives each one a distinct identity, policy, and set of credentials so access can be granted and revoked precisely.

It matters because modern attacks often target machine-to-machine trust. If a workload inherits a broad human session, a stolen token, prompt injection, or misconfigured integration can expose far more than intended. Workload IAM reduces that blast radius with short-lived credentials, scoped permissions, conditional policy checks, and strong audit logs. In AI systems, it helps separate what the user asked for from what the agent is actually allowed to do, preserving accountability and limiting over-privileged behavior.
