A transceiver is a device or circuit that both transmits and receives signals. In radio systems it is the core component that moves information in and out over the air, cable, or another medium. Its job is not just to send power, but to handle tuning, modulation, reception, and signal recovery reliably enough for communication to work.
In cyber security, transceivers matter because many attack and defense tools depend on them: Wi-Fi adapters, Bluetooth chips, RFID readers, cellular modems, software-defined radios, and embedded IoT radios all use transceiver functions. Attackers may exploit weak wireless implementations, replay or jam signals, or intercept traffic at the RF layer. Defenders use transceivers for monitoring, intrusion detection, spectrum analysis, and secure device communication. A small design can be effective, but only if the transmit and receive paths are carefully engineered and protected.
