A super admin is a highly privileged Workspace account that can change core settings, manage users and services, and access broad administration functions. In cloud environments, this role is powerful because it can alter security policies, reset credentials, assign privileges, and approve or revoke app access across the tenant.
This matters because attackers who compromise a super admin often gain a fast path to full environment control. Phishing, stolen passwords, token theft, or abuse of delegated access can turn one account into a tenant-wide incident. Defenders reduce that risk by using separate admin accounts, enforcing phishing-resistant authentication, limiting the number of super admins, and monitoring admin actions and privilege changes closely. In practice, super admin is the account you protect first and audit most often.
