Split View is a browser layout that keeps two tabs visible side by side in one window. It is a workflow feature, not a security control, and it changes how information is presented rather than how it is protected.
In cyber security, Split View matters because it can make sensitive material easier to compare, copy, or overlook. Analysts may use it to review logs, documentation, and web consoles at the same time, while attackers can abuse the same convenience during phishing or credential theft by placing a fake page next to a legitimate one to mimic a trusted flow. Defenders should treat Split View like any other high-visibility screen state: use display privacy, avoid exposing sensitive tabs during screen sharing, and rely on browser policies, authentication controls, and device security rather than the layout itself for protection.
