Sharing mobility

Transport services that let users access vehicles on demand instead of owning them.

Sharing mobility is a transport model where users access cars, scooters, bikes, or other vehicles on demand instead of owning them. In practice, it depends on mobile apps, booking systems, payment services, GPS location data, and fleet management platforms. The service works only if these systems stay accurate and available, because the value is in getting the right vehicle to the right place at the right time.

From a cyber security perspective, sharing mobility is important because it is highly data-driven and operationally sensitive. Attackers may try account takeover, API abuse, fake bookings, payment fraud, or tampering with vehicle location and availability data. Defenders focus on strong authentication, access controls, secure APIs, monitoring for abnormal usage, and reliable data governance. Protecting the platform matters as much as protecting the vehicles, because bad data or unauthorized access can disrupt service, cause financial loss, and undermine trust in the system.
