Regular geometry

A shape with balanced, repeating dimensions and symmetry.

Regular geometry is a shape or structure with balanced, repeating dimensions and symmetry. In cyber security, that idea matters because many digital artifacts are expected to follow stable patterns: pixel grids, QR codes, interface icons, certificate layouts, and even network diagrams. When those patterns look uneven, stretched, or inconsistent, defenders may suspect corruption, tampering, spoofing, or hidden editing.

Attackers also use regular geometry to their advantage. Phishing pages, fake login screens, and generated documents often copy clean geometric alignment to look trustworthy at a glance. Security tools can inspect geometry in images, documents, and device layouts to spot anomalies such as modified screenshots, doctored seals, or overlays used in social engineering. In short, regular geometry is not just a visual property; it can be a clue for detecting whether something is authentic, manipulated, or machine-made.
