Integration inventory

A record of the connections between applications, including APIs, workflows, and identity links.

An integration inventory is a maintained record of how applications connect and depend on one another. It can include APIs, automated workflows, identity-provider links, data flows, and the teams or owners responsible for each connection.

In cyber security, this inventory helps organizations understand which services can exchange data or act on behalf of users. It supports access reviews, risk assessments, incident response, and safe application retirement. For example, when a SaaS tool changes owners or is decommissioned, defenders can use the inventory to find and review associated credentials, API connections, and workflows. Keeping it current as applications change reduces the chance that overlooked integrations retain unnecessary access or expose data.
