Imaging AI

Software that helps interpret medical images and support clinical decisions.

Imaging AI is software that analyzes medical images such as X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, or procedural video to help clinicians detect patterns, highlight findings, or guide treatment decisions. In healthcare, it is usually decision support rather than an autonomous diagnosis engine: the model suggests, scores, or marks up what it sees, while a clinician makes the final call.

In cyber security, imaging AI matters because its output depends on the integrity of image data, model files, and connected workflows. Attackers may try to alter inputs, poison training data, tamper with software updates, or exploit weaknesses in cloud APIs and connected devices. Even a subtle change in image quality, timing, or metadata can lead to a misleading recommendation. Defenses include signed model updates, access control, network segmentation, input validation, audit logging, and human review of high-risk outputs. For regulated medical systems, secure design is part of patient safety, not just IT hygiene.
