Documentarlo

The act of recording the steps, decisions, and evidence that explain how an invention was formed.

Documentarlo means recording the steps, decisions, prompts, outputs, and evidence that explain how a result was produced. In technical work, this creates provenance: a traceable account of what was done, by whom, and with which tools. Good documentation turns an output from a black box into something that can be reviewed, audited, and defended.

In cyber security, documentarlo matters because attackers often hide their tracks, while defenders need reliable records. Incident response teams document alerts, timelines, commands, and evidence to support containment and later analysis. Security engineers document AI-assisted research, configuration changes, and test results so they can prove what was human-made, what was machine-suggested, and why a decision was accepted. Without that trail, organizations may struggle with attribution, compliance, and trust. Strong documentation is therefore both a governance control and a security control.
