Deep use

AI applied to judgment-heavy work with context, review, and feedback.

Deep use means applying AI to judgment-heavy work where context, review, and feedback matter as much as the initial output. Unlike shallow use, which is limited to easy tasks such as drafting text or summarizing logs, deep use sits inside operational workflows: humans add context, verify results, and feed corrections back into the system so it improves over time.

In cyber security, deep use matters because many tasks are ambiguous and high-risk. Security teams use it for alert triage, threat hunting, phishing analysis, vulnerability prioritization, and incident-response drafting, but only when analysts check the results and capture shared corrections. That feedback loop can reduce analyst fatigue, improve detection quality, and turn AI into a controlled capability instead of a noisy shortcut. The same idea also helps defenders set a delegation boundary: AI can assist with analysis, but humans keep authority over final decisions, escalations, and shipping fixes.
