Automated AI Validation

Testing that looks for unsafe or noncompliant behavior before or during deployment.

Automated AI validation is testing that checks an AI system for unsafe, noncompliant, or policy-breaking behavior before deployment and sometimes while it is already running. The goal is to find failures early, when they are easier to fix and less likely to cause harm.

In cyber security, this matters because agentic AI can read data, call tools, and trigger actions. Validation helps defenders test for prompt injection, data leakage, excessive permissions, and unsafe tool use. Security teams may run adversarial prompts, policy checks, and simulated workflows to see whether the model refuses risky requests or follows guardrails. In attacks, adversaries try to make the system ignore rules or expose sensitive information; in defenses, automated validation helps prove that controls work before real users or attackers can abuse them.
