Angle of view

the direction from which a scene is observed, which can change what details are visible.

Angle of view is the direction from which a scene is observed. In practice, it controls what fits in view, what is cropped out, and which details become visible. A narrow angle can hide context; a wider angle can reveal more of the environment but with less detail on any one object.

In cyber security, angle of view matters whenever people, devices, or cameras are used to collect visual information. Attackers may exploit a poor viewing angle to shoulder-surf PINs, watch keyboard input, or capture badges and documents that should stay private. Defenders use the same idea in reverse: they place cameras, screens, and workstations to reduce blind spots, protect sensitive areas, and keep training material faithful to real-world tasks. In VR and other security training tools, the chosen angle of view can determine whether learners see the crucial movement, threat indicator, or unsafe gap that needs attention.
