AI roleplay is a simulated conversation or workflow in which an AI system presents a scenario and evaluates a person’s responses. It can model tasks such as a customer consultation, allowing assessment of applied judgment rather than memorized facts.
In cybersecurity and other high-stakes settings, AI roleplay may support training or certification, but its decisions need oversight. Scenario design, scoring criteria, and model versions should be reviewed for consistency and fairness. Protect response data and performance logs, document how results are produced, and provide a way to challenge consequential outcomes. In attacks, the term does not itself describe a threat technique; the security concern is how the system and its data could be misused or inadequately governed.
