Aggregation breadth

The range of security signals a platform can combine into one view.

Aggregation breadth is the range of security signals a platform can combine into one view. In application security, that can include code vulnerabilities, dependency issues, cloud misconfigurations, identity data, runtime alerts, and ticketing context. The broader the aggregation, the more likely the platform can connect related findings and show which issue is actually most urgent.

This matters because attacks often span multiple layers. A weak dependency, an exposed service, and overprivileged access may look harmless in separate tools but become high risk when correlated. Good aggregation breadth helps defenders reduce duplicate alerts, spot attack paths, and prioritize remediation. But breadth alone is not enough: if the platform cannot normalize data or preserve context, it can create more noise instead of better decisions. Strong defenses use aggregation breadth to move from raw findings to actionable risk.
