Agent Identity Security

A security approach focused on identifying, governing, and monitoring AI agents.

Agent Identity Security is a security approach for identifying, governing, and monitoring AI agents as distinct digital actors. Instead of treating an agent like a generic script or app, it gives the agent an identity, scopes its permissions, and records what it tries to access or change.

This matters because AI agents can reach files, APIs, cloud services, and internal tools. If an agent is overprivileged, compromised, or simply misconfigured, it can move data or trigger actions at machine speed. In real defenses, Agent Identity Security supports discovery of shadow AI, least-privilege access, audit logs, policy enforcement, and runtime controls such as session termination or a kill switch. In attacks, the same controls help stop unauthorized automation before it reaches sensitive systems and reduce blast radius when an agent behaves unexpectedly.
