A remote-management command is an action sent through an administrative control channel to manage a linked system. Depending on the tool and permissions, commands may change settings, install or remove software, or perform maintenance without an administrator logging in directly to the managed system.
These commands are powerful because they rely on delegated trust: a valid management credential or connection key can authorize changes across connected systems. In attacks, a stolen or misused key may let an intruder issue commands that appear to come from a trusted management service, such as installing an unauthorized plugin on a WordPress site. Defenders should restrict command permissions, protect and rotate credentials, revoke obsolete connections, and review management logs and system changes.
