Publishing control

the permissions and approvals that decide what goes live.

Publishing control is the set of permissions and approval steps that determines who can make content public and what must be reviewed first. It may include separate roles for drafting, reviewing, and publishing, along with rules for approving changes to a live site.

In cyber security, these controls reduce the chance that an unauthorized user or a rushed workflow puts harmful, inaccurate, or unapproved material online. In a website builder or other SaaS platform, organizations can limit publishing rights, require a second person to approve important updates, and protect administrator accounts with strong authentication. These safeguards are especially useful when AI-generated content needs human verification before publication.
