NetScaler ADC

A Citrix application delivery controller that manages traffic, load balancing, and related security functions.

NetScaler ADC is Citrix’s application delivery controller: an edge appliance that balances traffic, terminates sessions, and can enforce security controls such as authentication, SSL handling, and access policies. It sits in front of internal applications, so it often becomes part of the trust boundary for remote access and identity flows.

In cyber security, that placement makes NetScaler ADC high value. A flaw in request parsing or input validation can expose sensitive data, disrupt authentication, or trigger denial of service across many downstream services. Attackers look for Internet-facing appliances because one weakness can affect an entire perimeter, while defenders treat them as critical infrastructure: inventory enabled features, restrict exposure, and patch quickly when vulnerabilities are published.
