Generated content

AI-created outputs such as summaries, reports, or other work artifacts.

Generated content is any output created by an AI system, such as a summary, report, image, email draft, or code snippet. It is not a raw log of the conversation; it is the artifact the model produces from the user’s prompt, context, and any connected data.

In cyber security, generated content matters because it can carry sensitive information, inaccurate conclusions, or attacker-controlled instructions. Defenders may store AI-generated reports, incident summaries, and remediation drafts as part of their records, so retention and access controls are important. Attackers also use AI-generated content to scale phishing messages, fake business documents, or malware-adjacent code suggestions. Security teams should treat generated output like any other work product: verify it, classify it, and remove secrets before sharing it. If the assistant keeps memory or archives outputs, those artifacts can become searchable evidence, compliance data, or a target for data exposure.
