Execution Verification Infrastructure (EVI)

A runtime framework designed to capture and verify actions taken by AI agents and autonomous systems.

Execution Verification Infrastructure (EVI) is a runtime framework that records and verifies what an AI agent or autonomous system actually did while it was running. Instead of only keeping ordinary logs or final outputs, EVI captures actions as signed events and links them to the state changes they produce. The result is a verifiable execution record: evidence that can be checked later to reconstruct the chain of actions.

EVI matters because agentic systems can call tools, access APIs, and change production state faster than a human can review each step. In an attack, that makes it harder to prove which agent, credential, or tool caused a harmful change. In defense, EVI supports investigation, detection and response, supervision, and accountability by making execution history tamper-evident and machine-readable. It complements, but does not replace, least privilege, sandboxing, short-lived credentials, and independent telemetry.
