Electric propulsion is movement produced by an electric motor or motor system. Electrical energy is converted into mechanical force to drive a vehicle or other machine. In a hybrid design, electric propulsion may operate alongside another power source, such as a turbine.
In cyber security, the term is not itself a security technology, but electrically controlled systems depend on software, sensors, communication links, and control electronics. Attackers may target those components to disrupt operation or alter commands. Defenders reduce risk through access controls, secure communications, monitoring, and careful testing of how the electric drive behaves when connected systems fail or change state.
