Creative convergence is the tendency for independently generated creative outputs to become more alike over time or across users. With generative AI, this can happen when many people rely on similar models, prompts, examples, or optimization goals, producing polished work that shares familiar patterns rather than a distinct voice.
In cybersecurity, convergence matters because uniform brand content can make legitimate material easier to imitate. Fraudsters may use similar visual styles in lookalike ads, fake endorsements, or phishing pages. Teams can reduce risk by reviewing synthetic content, recording prompts and edits, checking rights and approvals, and measuring distinctiveness as well as performance. These controls help identify generic or misleading assets, but provenance records alone do not prove that content is accurate, original, or authorized.
