Co-managed operations

A shared model where both the customer and provider handle SIEM tasks.

Co-managed operations is a service model in which a customer and a provider share responsibility for security information and event management (SIEM) tasks. Depending on the agreement, the provider may monitor alerts or maintain the platform, while the customer contributes environment knowledge, reviews detections, or handles incident response.

This model can give an organization access to specialist support while preserving internal visibility and control. The division of work should be explicit: clarify who tunes detections, maintains parsers, investigates alerts, and owns or can export the resulting rules and configurations. If the relationship ends, portable detection content and documented tuning help the customer maintain monitoring without interruption.
