An X-ray machine is a device that produces X-rays, a form of ionizing radiation used to see inside objects without opening them. In security work, that makes it useful for non-destructive inspection of electronics, packages, and enclosures.
X-ray imaging matters in cyber security because it can reveal hidden components, unauthorized modifications, counterfeit parts, broken solder joints, or implanted hardware in a device supply chain. Defenders use it during hardware triage and tamper checks; attackers may try to use the same capability to map internal layouts or assess how a target device is built. Because X-rays can expose people to radiation, the machine, shielding, and operating limits must be controlled carefully. A safe, compliant setup is part of the security boundary, not an optional extra.
