Scheduled Release

A rollout track where Workspace features arrive later, in a gradual deployment window.

Scheduled Release is a Google Workspace rollout track in which new features arrive later than they do on the Rapid Release track. Deployment is gradual, so eligible users may not receive a feature at the same time. Availability can also depend on factors such as account type, region, and language settings.

For security and IT teams, this track helps set expectations for when changes may reach users, but it does not guarantee a precise arrival date for every account or provide control over the feature itself. During a staged rollout, administrators should verify which users have access and communicate guidance before relying on consistent behavior across the organization. In the Gmail AI Inbox example, Scheduled Release describes the later rollout window; it does not indicate a security incident or a change to email protocols.
