A model-generated report is a security finding produced by an AI system rather than by a human researcher. It may describe a suspected vulnerability, misconfiguration, or exploit path, but the result is only as reliable as the model’s analysis and the data it was given.
This matters because AI can scale vulnerability discovery and speed up disclosure, especially in high-volume environments such as open-source software triage. However, model output can also be wrong, duplicated, or overstated, so defenders still need human validation before patching or escalating. In practice, these reports appear in opt-in disclosure pipelines, automated scanner output, and SOC workflows that sort large numbers of alerts. Attackers can abuse the same idea by generating noisy or misleading findings to waste defender time, which makes verification and prioritization essential.
