Microhub

A small logistics node used to stage or transfer goods closer to delivery zones.

A microhub is a small logistics node used to stage, sort, or transfer goods closer to delivery zones. In last-mile operations, it gives planners more flexibility by shortening the distance between inventory and customers, but it also adds another connected point where data must be accurate and current.

From a cybersecurity perspective, a microhub is part warehouse system, part control surface. If status data, capacity figures, or transfer records are altered, an automated logistics platform may make bad routing or allocation decisions. That is why microhubs need strong access control, integrity checks, reliable device and system logging, and human oversight for high-impact actions. In attacks, the goal is often not to “hack the truck” but to corrupt the trusted operational picture that tells the system what is available, where it is, and whether it can move safely.
