Dedicated VPS

A virtual private server reserved for one customer or organization.

A dedicated VPS (virtual private server) is a virtual machine reserved for one customer or organization instead of being shared with unrelated tenants. It gives operators their own CPU, memory, storage, and network configuration inside a larger physical host, which makes it easier to tune performance and control the environment.

In cyber security, a dedicated VPS matters because isolation reduces some cross-tenant risks common in shared hosting and gives defenders more control over patches, firewalls, logging, and service separation. That is useful for payment systems, wallets, analytics, and other crypto-adjacent services that need predictable uptime and tighter access control. Attackers also use dedicated VPS instances as staging points for phishing, command-and-control, or proxying malicious traffic, because the hosting looks ordinary and can be quickly replaced. A dedicated VPS is not automatically secure; its safety depends on hardening, least-privilege access, and continuous monitoring.
