Cybersecurity Code of Practice (CCoP)

a regulatory code issued by CSA for CII owners.

The Cybersecurity Code of Practice (CCoP) is a regulatory control set issued by Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency for owners of critical information infrastructure (CII). It defines baseline security expectations for systems that support essential services, such as stronger access control, logging, incident response, vulnerability management, and resilience testing. In practice, the CCoP turns general security goals into compliance requirements that operators must implement and evidence.

CCoP matters because critical systems are high-value targets for ransomware, intrusion, and disruption. When attackers target these environments, weak segmentation, poor monitoring, or slow patching can turn a small compromise into service outage. For defenders, the code encourages measurable controls: prove what is monitored, test recovery paths, and validate that cloud and on-premises responsibilities are clearly assigned. In real security programs, CCoP often appears as an audit and assurance framework that forces organizations to move beyond policy documents and demonstrate operational readiness.
